TYPES OF GRANTS
The Prosper Road Foundation typically provides grants of up to $50,000. Multi-year requests will be considered when rationale is provided. The Foundation provides the following types of grants:
- General Operating
- Specific program or project support
- Capacity Building
The Prosper Road Foundation does not fund:
- Scholarships
- Grants to individuals or non 501 (c)(3) organizations
- Campaigns to elect candidates for office
- Sponsorships
- Capital campaigns
GRANT REQUEST POLICY
The Prosper Road Foundation only accepts invited proposals at this time. We look for organizations that meet the following criteria:
- A clear, focused and measurable mission
- Disciplined, people focused management and strong leadership
- Well designed and well implemented strategies
- Financial health and sustainability
- A culture that values learning and is transparent about challenges
- Internal monitoring for continuous improvement
- External evaluation for mission effectiveness
If invited, please submit the following proposal materials electronically to Joan Evans, Director, at joan@theprosperroadfoundation.org:
- Your organization’s mission and background (no more than half page)
- Statement of need and goals for the project or work to be funded (no more than half a page)
- Plan for achieving those goals, including timeline and metrics (max: 1 page)
- Evidence of Impact
- Operating budget for previous two years and current year
- Resume of Executive Director and key staff overseeing program to be funded
- Sources of funding for past two years and expected in next two years
- Your organization’s financial statement and audit
- Copy of most recent IRS 501 (c)(3) federal tax exemption letter
Reporting Requirements will be specific to the grant and outlined in a gift agreement.
